LAMONGAN, SWARAJOMBANG.com – Umat Muhammadiyah yang jumlahnya jutaan orang diajak mendukung Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy sebagai bakal calon wakil presiden (Bacawapres) pada Pemilu 2024 mendatang.
Ajakan itu disampaikan mantan Wakil Ketua Pimpinan Wilayah Muhammadiyah (PWM) Jawa Timur Prof Dr Zainuddin Maliki dalam silaturahmi dan kenaikan kelas I – V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah I Blimbing, Lamongan, Jawa Timur, Sabtu (17/6/2023).
Menurut Zainuddin Maliki, bangsa Indonesia memiliki satu kekurangan yaitu pemimpin yang waras. Prof Muhadjir adalah salah satu pemimpin yang waras. Kalau negara ini dipimpin pemimpin yang waras, maka ekonominya waras, agamanya waras. Demikian pula sosial politik dan kebudayaannya waras. Mengutip Imam Al Ghazali, kalau rakyat hidup tidak baik itu salah pemimpinnya.
“Oleh karena itu kita pilih pemimpin tahun 2024 nanti, pemimpin-pemimpin yang waras. Mari kita dukung Prof Muhadjir menjadi calon wakil presiden RI,” kata anggota DPR dari Fraksi PAN ini.
Muhadjir yang hadir pada acara itu langsung menanggapi, penentuan figur cawapres itu domain partai politik. Sementara Muhammadiyah bukan partai politik. “Untuk bisa menjadi cawapres kalau dicalonkan oleh partai politik. Jadi masih jauh…” katanya.
Sejauh ini belum ada partai yang secara resmi memilih cawapresnya. Baru sebatas diusulkan. Berbeda dengan calon presiden. Sudah muncul tiga bacapres semiresmi yaitu Ganjar Pranowo yang diusung PDIP, Anies Baswedan yang diusung koalisi Partai Nasdem, PKS dan Partai Demokrat, dan Prabowo Subianto yang diusung Gerindra. Semua baru resmi kalau sudah didaftarkan ke KPU.
Di antara nama bacawapres yang sudah muncul di publik adalah Erick Thohir, Sandiaga Uno, Mahfud MD, Khofifah Indarparawansa, Ridwal Kamil, AHY, Erlangga Hartarto, Muhaimin Iskandar, Nasaruddin Umar, Muhadjir Effendy, Din Syamsuddin,Gatot Nurmantyo, Ahmad Heryawan, Andika Perkasa.
Setelah dimunculkan kalangan pakar politik perguruan tinggi akhir April lalu, nama Muhadjir terus mendapat dukungan dari pelbagai kalangan masyarakat seperti Masyarakat Perfilman Indonesia, sejumlah komunitas relawan yang mendukung Jokowi-Mar’ruf pada Pilpres 2019, budayawan, alumni Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) dan lain-lain.
PAN kini sedang menimang-nimang Muhadjir untuk menjadi bacawapres bersama Erick Thohir. Deklarator PAN Kota Surabaya Herman Rivai menyarankan DPP PAN mencalonkan Muhadjir. Dia yakin PAN akan mendapat coat-tail (efek ekor jas) besar. Bahkan Herman wanti-wanti jika tidak mencalonkan Muhadjir, PAN bisa ditinggal umat Muhammadiyah yang selama ini menjadi basis konstituennya.
