LAMONGAN, SWARAJOMBANG.com – Prof Dr Zainuddin Maliki, anggota DPR RI dari Fraksi PAN mendesak DPP PAN agar lebih serius memproses Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan ( Menko PMK) Prof Dr Muhadjir Effendy menjadi bakal calon wakil presiden (bacawapres) dari PAN. Ia menilai Muhadjir memiliki modal sosial yang kuat.
Zainuddin menyatakan hal itu di depan peserta sosialisasi empat pilar kehidupan kebangsaan di Gedung Dakwah Muhammadiyah Brondong, Lamongan, Sabtu (15/7/23).
Hadir dalam acara ini antara lain, pimpinan Cabang Muhammadiyah, Aisyiyah, Ortom dan pimpinan amal usaha Muhammadiyah se Kabupaten Lamongan, Jatim.
Menurut mantan Ketua Dewan Pendidikan Surabaya ini, Muhadjir memiliki modal sosial yang kuat yaitu kepercayaan masyarakat. “Terpilih dua kali menjadi Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah cukup menjadi bukti tingkat kepercayaan yang tinggi kepadanya,” ungkapnya.
Mantan Rektor Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya ini menyitir pandangan sosiolog dunia asal Amerika Serikat, Francis Fukuyama bahwa modal sosial adalah syarat untuk bisa menjadikan sebuah negara menjadi negara berkemajuan.
“jika ingin negara ini maju maka harus dipimpin oleh figur yang punya modal sosial kuat yakni pemimpin yang memiliki tingkat kepercayaan tinggi dari masyarakat,” tegasnya.
Untuk itu, kita butuh figur seperti Prof Muhadjir. Kepribadiannya dikenal bersih. Bisa dipercaya karena integritas kepribadiannya lama ditempa di Muhammadiyah. “Kompetensi dan pengalaman kepemerintahannya teruji lama di birokrasi,” tegasnya.
Zainuddin mendesak DPP Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) agar lebih bersungguh-sungguh mengawal Prof Muhadjir Effendi sebagai calon wakil presiden pada pemilu 2024.

Lebih lanjut, Zainuddin menyatakan, perlu dibangun kesadaran masyarakat untuk tidak hanya mengedepankan figur yang memiliki modal finansial. Justru dalam rangka membumikan ideologi Pancasila, UUD 1945, NKRI dan Bhineka Tunggal Eka di negeri ini dibutuhkan pemimpin yang modal sosialnya tinggi.
Empat pilar kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara yaitu Pancasila, UUD 1945, NKRI dan Bhineka Tunggal Eka, kaya akan nilai-nilai ideologis serta praktis berkehidupan kenegaraan. Oleh karena itu menjadi sangat penting untuk disosialisasikan agar dapat mengubah cara berfikir bahwa yang lebih dibutuhkan bangsa adalah modal sosial, daripada modal finansial.
“Modal kepribadian pemimpin yang bisa dipercaya, jujur, amanah yang kuat komitmen dan keberpihakannya kepada rakyat yang lebih dibutuhkan bangsa ini daripada sekedar pemimpin yang populer karena uangnya banyak,” ujar guru besar ilmu politik itu.
Zainuddin mengingkatkan, pada era pasca kebenaran ini fakta dianggap tidak lebih penting dari persepsi. Tak jarang pemimpin rajin tampil di berbagai media sosial dengan dengan framing atau kemasan yang lebih indah dan biasanya lebih populis, sehingga terbentuk opini lebih dekat dengan rakyat.
Padahal semua itu hanya kesan yang diperoleh dari media sosial, sedangkan faktanya tidak selalu demikian. Pada kenyataan bisa jadi justru banyak rekam jejak kebijakannya yang mempersulit dan membebani rakyat. “Dalam era seperti ini masyarakat perlu diajak lebih cerdas membaca kualitas calon pemimpin,” pungkasnya.
