JAKARTA, SWARAJOMBANG.com – Ketua DPR RI Dr. (H.C) Puan Maharani mendukung sikap tegas Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo terkait praktik ilegal yang terjadi di dalam tubuh Polri. Dukungan ini disampaikan usai Kapolri berjanji akan mencopot petinggi Polri yang terbukti terlibat dalam tindakan penyakit masyarakat (pekat).
“DPR RI mendukung upaya tegas yang dilakukan Kapolri terkait praktik-praktik ilegal, termasuk bila terjadi di tubuh Polri sendiri,” tutur Puan dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Jumat (19/8/2022).
Ketegasan ini, jelas Puan, diterapkan ketika muncul isu Konsorsium 303 yang diduga terlibat berbagai bisnis ilegal, salah satunya perjudian. Konsorsium ini disebut dipimpin oleh petinggi Polri.
“Kami juga mengapresiasi Polri melalui Bareskrim yang langsung mendalami informasi terkait dugaan adanya petinggi Polri yang terlibat dalam berbagai kasus kejahatan, baik itu judi online hingga peredaran narkoba,” kata politisi PDI-Perjuangan itu.
Berdasarkan informasi yang diterimanya, Kapolri menegaskan tidak akan ragu mencopot pejabat polisi apabila terlibat dengan tindak pidana ilegal, mulai dari peredaran narkotika, perjudian baik konvensional ataupun online, pungutan liar (pungli), illegal minning, penyalahgunaan BBM dan LPG, sikap arogan, hingga adanya keberpihakan anggota dalam menangani permasalahan hukum di masyarakat.
Menurut Puan, ketegasan Kapolri dibutuhkan untuk menumbuhkan kepercayaan rakyat. Sesuai Undang-Undang Nomor 2 Tahun 2002, Polri bertugas di antaranya untuk memelihara keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat, menegakkan hukum, serta memberikan perlindungan dan pengayoman, dan pelayanan kepada masyarakat.
“Jadi apabila pengayom masyarakat justru memberikan ruang yang merugikan rakyat, sudah sewajarnya mendapat hukuman berat,” ujarnya.
Puan memastikan DPR akan terus melakukan pengawasan terhadap kinerja Polri. Puan pun menyebut DPR akan ikut mengawal isu terkait Konsorsium 303 karena telah menyita perhatian besar masyarakat.
“Sebagai lembaga perwakilan rakyat, kami mendorong Polri untuk bekerja secara profesional,” tegasnya.
Puan juga menuntut Polri untuk transparan dalam setiap pengusutan kasus. Ia mengingatkan Polri terus meningkatkan perlindungan kepada warga negara.
“Kita tidak ingin kepercayaan masyarakat kepada Polri menurun. Pastikan Polri bekerja untuk memberikan pengabdian yang sebaik-baiknya kepada rakyat,” tegasnya.
