JAKARTA, SWARAJOMBANG.com – Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy sangat mendukung langkah SMK Muhammadiyah Purwodadi, Jawa Tengah yang sedang mengembangkan kendaraan bermotor elektrik.
Apalagi sudah bekerja sama dengan industri pemasok baterainya untuk standar sepeda motor listrik tersebut. Sekaligus ini meningkatkan kompetensi dan menyesuaikan lulusan sekolah dengan dunia industri.
“Saya kira hal tersebut sebagai wujud kolaborasi antara dunia industri dengan dunia pendidikan. Tinggal nanti bagaimana uji kelayakannya akan kita koordinasikan dengan kementerian dan lembaga terkait, sehingga motor tersebut dapat segera dipasarkan,” kata Muhadjir saat meresmikan Gedung Teaching Factory Teknik Otomotif Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Muhammadiyah Purwodadi, Minggu (12/02/2023).
Muhadjir mengatakan, kemitraan dunia industri dengan dunia pendidikan semakin nyata di seluruh Indonesia. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa revitalisasi pendidikan vokasi di Indonesia sudah berjalan dan berkembang sesuai dengan arahan Presiden Joko Widodo.
“Teaching factory ini sebagai tempat untuk berlatih para siswa agar pengalaman kerjanya lebih mendekati kepada dunia industri yang sesungguhnya. Sehingga saat dia (siswa) benar-benar masuk dunia kerja tidak membutuhkan waktu lama untuk beradaptasi,” kata Mendikbud pada Kabinet Jokowi Jilid Satu ini.
Teaching factory merupakan program yang menjembatani antara sekolah dengan dunia industri atau usaha yang memiliki kesamaan bidang keterampilan. Sehingga program tersebut mendidik siswa SMK agar mampu memproduksi barang ataupun jasa layaknya perusahaan.
Selain itu, pembelajaran dengan teaching factory bertujuan untuk melatih siswa terampil dan kompeten. Sekaligus para siswa juga memiliki sikap mental dan karakter yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri.
Fasilitas-fasilitas yang tersedia di gedung teaching factory seluas 385 meter persegi itu meliputi ruang service ddvisor dan kasir, ruang tunggu atas dan bawah, ruang bahan dan alat, ruang rapat, peralatan spooring 3D , balancing , two postlift, scaner, gas analizer , service AC mobil, jamper accu, ganti oli matic, tire changer, dan over haul
