TANA TORAJA, SWARAJOMBANG.com – Wakil Bupati Tana Toraja, Zadrak Tombeg, meminta dukungan Ketua DPD RI, AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, untuk mengembangkan Kawasan Strategis Pariwisata Nasional (KSPN).
Hal itu disampaikan Zadrak saat Ketua DPD RI melakukan kunjungan kerja ke Tana Toraja, Rabu (21/9/2022).
Menurut Zadrak, Kabupaten Tana Toraja merupakan salah satu daerah tujuan wisata unggulan di Indonesia dengan potensi budaya yang unik dan alam yang indah.
“Namun, dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir pariwisata Tana Toraja mengalami pasang surut, terutama dengan adanya wabah Covid-19,” paparnya.
Zadrak menyebut Pemkab Tana Toraja telah menyusun rencana strategis pengembangan pariwisata yang berdimensi budaya dan lingkungan dengan berorientasi pada pemberdayaan masyarakat.
Namun, rencana yang telah disusun tersebut masih belum optimal dalam memajukan kepariwisataan Tana Toraja.
“Berbagai perubahan yang terjadi, termasuk kondisi kepariwisataan internasional ternyata berpengaruh terhadap kepariwisataan Tana Toraja yang seolah-olah stagnan,” ujar dia.
Salah satu faktor penting yang perlu dibenahi adalah aksesibilitas yang merupakan permasalahan yang perlu untuk segera ditindaklanjuti.
“Oleh karenanya, kami berharap pengembangan pariwisata Tana Toraja dapat mengakomodir tuntutan, perubahan, kendala dan permasalahan yang terjadi agar dapat menunjang pengembangan pariwisata Sulawesi Selatan,” ujar Zadrak.
Asisten II Pemkab Tana Toraja, Yunus Sirante, menambahkan, adapun daya tarik utama dalam pengembangan ini di antaranya pemandangan bentang alam nan eksotik dari Puncak Buntu Sarira ke seluruh penjuru Toraja, hamparan awan di pagi hari serta sunrise dan sunset, kolam alam di Tilangnga’, goa alam Kambuno, Alang Deata (Lumbung Dewa), Glamping Area, Gugusan Buntu Sarira, Desa Wisata Sarira dan panjat tebing.
“Mengenai aksesibilitas kami harapkan mudah dijangkau oleh semua jenis kendaraan roda dua dan roda empat,” katanya.
Ketua DPD RI, AA LaNyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, mendukung penuh pengembangan pariwisata di Tana Toraja. Menurutnya, sektor pariwisata merupakan penggerak roda perekonomian di tingkat dasar.
“Pariwisata langsung bersentuhan dengan masyarakat. Saya setuju agar Tana Toraja ini terus dikembangkan, sehingga menjadi destinasi unggulan dengan ciri dan karakternya sendiri,” kata LaNyalla.
Senator asal Jawa Timur itu menambahkan, potensi keunikan sosial budaya Tana Toraja yang dipadu dengan kekhasan alam memerlukan rencana pengembangan yang mengedepankan dimensi budaya maupun lingkungan dengan berorientasi lada peningkatan ekonomi, yang pada gilirannya memajukan kesejahteraan masyarakat.
“Tentu tujuan utama dari pengembangan sektor pariwisata ini adalah bagaimana pondasi perekonomian masyarakat semakin kuat. Maka, keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengembangan pariwisata merupakan satu keharusan dalam memajukan daerah,” ujar LaNyalla.
Ia terus mendorong agar sektor kepariwisataan Tana Toraja mendapat prioritas untuk dikembangkan. Apalagi, Tana Toraja telah ditetapkan sebagai Kawasan Strategis Pariwisata Nasional (KSPN) dan juga Kawasan Strategis Nasional (KSN).
“Tentu ini menjadi harapan besar bagi percepatan pengembangan kepariwisataan Tana Toraja sebagai salah satu daerah tujuan wisata unggulan,” papar LaNyalla.
