“Saat ini, Mesir telah import kopi dan teh dari Indonesia khususnya Jawa Timur. Tanggal 26 Oktober lalu telah dikirim 200 ton kopi communal branding dari tiga daerah yaitu Madiun, Jombang, Bondowoso, termasuk Jember,” tutur Bupati Mundjidah Wahab pada acara “Ngopi E Jombang” (Ngobrol Kopi Excelsa Jombang) dan Gebyar Expo Kopi Jombang, Minggu (4/12/2022).
Acara yang digelar Dinas Perdagangan dan Perindustrian (Disdagrin) Kabupaten Jombang itu antara lain dengan menyelenggarakan sarasehan Kepala Disdagrin Hari Oetomo, Kepala OPD terkait, Anggota Komisi B DPRD Kabupaten Jombang, para narasumber dari Puslitkoka Jember.
Acara ini diikuti oleh IKM penggiat kopi, anggota Asosiasi Kopi Wonosalam, pemilik kedai kopi, warung kopi, petani kopi, pengurus Koperasi Kopi Wonosalam dan penyuluh pertanian.
Melalui event ini diharapkan meningkatkan produktivitas perkopian di Kabupaten Jombang. Ada informasi pasca panen kopi, khususnya kopi jenis excelsa dari ahli peneliti, serta diharapkan terjadi diskusi antar penggiat kopi guna mendapatkan suatu informasi dan ide/inspirasi yang terbarukan serta mempromosikan Kopi Wonosalam.
Bupati Jombang Hj Mundjidah Wahab yang baru saja mengikuti Temu Bisnis/ Misi Dagang bersama rombongan Gubernur Jawa Timur di Kairo, Mesir, menyambut positif kegiatan Sarasehan dengan tema ”Ngopi E Jombang (Ngobrol Kopi Excelsa Jombang) dan Gebyar Expo Kopi Jombang.
Untuk menentukan mana diantara kopi yang premium atau tidak, kata Mundjidah, di Mesir sudah ada ahlinya.
“Alhamdulillah, pada acara tersebut dari hasil penilaian pegiat Kopi yang termasuk Premium adalah Kopi Excelsa Kabupaten Jombang,” tutur Bupati Mundjidah Wahab yang disambut tepuk tangan oleh undangan yang hadir.
“Jangan tepuk tangan saja, tapi lakukan langkah nyata untuk mengembangkan Kopi ini secara baik. Ini tantangan bagi Pemerintah Kabupaten Jombang bersama masyarakat petani untuk meningkatkan komoditi Kopi yang berkualitas. Semua Dinas dan pegiat Kopi juga harus berkolaborasi dimulai dari pembibitan hingga pemasaran kopi,” tandas Bupati Mundjidah Wahab
Bupati Mundjidah Wahab meminta agar potensi yang dimiliki Kabupaten Jombang yakni Perkebunan Panglungan Wonosalam dapat memanfaatkan peluang ini, dan dilaksanakan secara kolaborasi.
Hari Oetomo, Kadis Perdagangan dan Perindustrian Kabupaten Jombang menyampaikan kegiatan “Ngopi E Jombang” (Ngobrol Kopi Excelsa Jombang) dan Gebyar Expo Kopi Jombang ini diharapkan akan semakin mengenalkan kopi Excelsa Jombang ke masyarakat luas.
“Sarasehan Kopi adalah pertemuan yang diselenggarakan untuk mendengarkan pendapat dan informasi dari para ahli mengenai peningkatan kualitas pasca panen kopi khususnya kopi jenis excels,” tuturnya.
Dikatakan, Disdagrin Jombang sudah beberapa kali memberikan fasilitasi dalam hal bantuan alat maupun promosi bagi IKM Kopi Wonosalam yakni berupa pelatihan dan bantuan alat roasting kopi senilai Rp. 120 juta dan huler kopi senilai Rp. 30 juta tahun anggaran 2022 serta promosi di tingkat lokal berupa Expo Kopi tahun anggaran 2019 dan 2020, di tingkat regional berupa Festival Kopi Jawa Timur di tahun 2019 dan 2021 maupun di tingkat Nasional berupa Festival Kopi Nusantara di Jakarta pada tahun 2019.
